STF suspends sales of Petrobras subsidiary

The Federal Supreme Court (STF) minister, Edson Fachin, has suspended the sale of the associated carrier of gas S.A. and determined that the privatization of the subsidiary is carried out by bidding. Petrobras had sold the TAG for US $8.6 billion (about R $33 billion) for the French Engie.

In a statement, the state has reported that it has not been subpoaped from the opinion, and will assess and take appropriate measures to promote its interests and investors. The decision drops the provisional inaction granted by the Superior Court of Justice (STJ) in January and confirms the previous determination of the also STF minister, Ricardo Lewandowski.
