The task force that includes the National Agency for Oil, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), the National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology (Inmetro), the Institute of Weights and Measures (Ipem) and the Police Department of Defense of Delegated Services (DDSD) continues to work to ban gas stations with irregularities. In the last week, the joint operation banned eight nozzles from the Sulacap post, in the Jardim Sulacap neighborhood, west of Rio de Janeiro.
A remote-controlled-driven device was found providing 12.5% less fuel than indicated on the display. Another device that mixed ethanol with gasoline was also retained, and was found that the petrol marketed by the establishment contained a percentage of 46% anhydrous ethanol, although the percentage currently in force be 27%.
