First electric air taxi is presented to the market

The Lilium is the first electric air taxi in the world with totally vertical and electric takeoff and landing, and was presented to the market after making its first flight in Munich, Germany. The jet is an initiative of the German Lilium GmbH. The forecast is for the aircraft to start flying over the world by 2025.

The jet will have capacity for five seats and will be fully electric, and can operate with a pilot or in drone mode. The service will be charged by route and won't polluting the atmosphere due to zero emission of carbon gas.

The company estimates that the maximum speed of the Lilium will be 300 km/h, higher than the average of competing companies that intend to launch flying cars. The aircraft is five times faster than a car and will produce less noise than a motorcycle.
