Scientists discover a new way of transforming sunlight into energy through semiartificial photosynthesis. Researches conducted at the University of Cambridge point out that it is possible to carry out this process done by the plants through technology.
The researchers found a solution in the photolysis of water, with the help of chlorophyll and luminous energy, it is possible to separate the atoms of the molecule (H ₂ O). With this, the specialists were able to intensify the sunlight in the laboratory and thus increase production to stock energy.
This new form aims to convert hydrogen into clean and sustainable energy. To achieve this achievement, the hydrogenase was used, a type of enzyme found in algae, which leads to a function that does not happen in nature anymore.
