U.S.: Reserves drop unexpectedly by 700,000 barrels

On Wednesday (13), a report released by the Energy Information Agency (EIA) reported that oil reserves in the United States fell last week for the first time since January, giving an unexpected result to the market. 

According to the report, crude oil reserves stood at 531.5 million barrels (mb) on May 8, resulting in a drop of 700,000 barrels. Experts heard by Bloomberg agency expected a high of 4 mb.
