On Friday (16), Petrobras reported that due to the pandemic scenario of Covid-19, the Integrated Project of the Whale Park will be postponed, getting the start of operation and first oil for 2024. However, according to the oil company, the scope of the project will be preserved.
"With the postponement, Petrobras canceled the bidding of platform chartering to meet the project and authorized the start of a new bidding process," the state-owned company said. The project foresees the redevelopment of wells between platforms in operation in 2022.
Last Thursday (15), the oil company also announced the beginning of the binding phase referring to the sale of all its participation in a set of seven land and shallow water concessions that make up the Alagoas Pole, in the northeastern state.
