Petrobras is the number 1 company in Brazil, according to Forbes Global 2000, a list of the American magazine Forbes. The classification changes in large scale the scenario that has haunted the state in recent years as a result of the accumulation of political scandals that economically weakened the management of the company.
For example, in the same ranking held last year, the oil company appeared to be bitter in the 5th position. This turnaround performed by Petrobras in one year happens simultaneously with the current scenario of the company’s disinvestments.
The ranking of 2019 also defined the company as the 50th largest company in the world, between 2000 global. The data on the list may reflect not only on the appreciation of the State’s patrimony, but can also be signalling the first steps towards the recovery of the current severely weakened national economy.
