2031 will have peak oil production, says PPSA

According to a study by the Strategic Planning area of Pré-Sal Petróleo SA (PPSA) released last Monday (25), oil production of the 17 sharing contracts, established for pre-salt fields, will reach a peak of 3.9 million barrels daily in 2031.

According to data from the National Agency for Oil, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), this result can be compared to a national oil production of 2.9 million barrels per day. In addition, the projected portion for the government would peak at 1.2 million barrels of oil per day, considering the percentages of excess oil volume offered to the Union in contracts.
