The National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) reported, on Wednesday (23), that Rodolfo Henrique Saboia took office as the new director general of the regulatory body, with a four-year term.
The admiral will replace Décio Oddone, who resigned in March this year and went on to serve more recently as chief executive of the oil company Enauta. Since then, the ANP had been commanded by interims.
Savoy has more than 40 years of service to the Navy and was transferred to the reserve in 2012. He also holds a bachelor's degree in Marine Sciences, a master's degree in Command and General Staff and a PhD in Maritime Policy and Strategy, as well as an expert in International Management, the ANP said. He was appointed by President Jair Bolsonaro in March and approved by the Senate in October.
