ANP warns of possible effects of strike

Last Thursday (13), the National Agency for Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) expressed concern about the risk of negative impact of shutdowns for the production and supply of oil, gas and its derivatives to Brazil. The agency sent a letter to the Superior Labor Court (TST) warning of the possible consequences of the tanker strike if it continues.

“It should be noted that the production of derivatives represents an essential service for the country and the extension of the strike may affect not only production, but also supply, with consequent impairment in the payment of taxes in all spheres of the federation,” said the DIRECTOR General of the ANP, Décio Oddone in the document sent to the Minister rapporteur of TST, Ives Gandra da Silva Martins Filho

Petrobras said there has been no impact on production so far and that it is making the discount of the unworked days of employees who joined the movement
