On Tuesday (10), it was held by the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) The 1st cycle of the permanent offer. The auction was attended by some authorities, including the Minister of Mines and Energy, Bento Albuquerque, and the directors of the ANP. The cycles of the permanent offer are characterized by the realization of public sessions for the execution of fields and exploratory blocks, both the returned and those not killed in previous auctions, to one or more sectors interested.
This edition premiered a new model of offerings that offers a number of options in areas and blocks for exploration and production in the oil and gas industry. The differential of this mould is the opportunity for companies to exploit these areas without delimiting time, as occurs in traditional rounds.
For the director general of ANP, Décio Oddone, the absence of Petrobras in the auction is a positive point, because it symbolizes a more dynamic and less monopolized industry. He also points out that the action began with only one interested company and in the end, ended with 45 blocks and contracted areas, a true success.
In addition to the 301 existing exploration contracts, more 33 blocks were put in the Sergipe-Alagoas, Parnaíba, Potiguar and Recôncavo basins, as well as 12 areas with marginal accumulations in the Potiguar, Sergipe-Alagoas, Recôncavo and Espírito Santo basins.
In a scenario of economic crisis, another positive point of the cap will be the new jobs generated in different regions of the country. More than that, the impulse generated in terrestrial exploration beyond the revitalization of mature areas and marginal accumulations are other favorable topics.
