Brazil: leadership in oil in Latin America

As already reported by Offshore Brazil, Panorama has become the largest oil producer in the Latin America. The brazilian production of "black gold", which has already surpassed that of countries like Venezuela and Mexico, grew for the third consecutive year. With this, Brazil is now residing among the 10 leading countries of oil.

Among the actions that have influenced this leadership is the production in the pre-salt layer of Brazil, as well as the investments made in this area. In addition, the strengthening of Petrobras that gradually comes up out of the crisis also appears as a factor for the increase in production. This is because the goal of producing 2,070,000 oil barrels per day by the end of 2017. However, this goal has already been achieved in the first half of this year.
