CNPE creates group to deal with E&P in the ocean

Second announcement by the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME), the Council National energy Policy (CNPE) has set up a group to address the exploitation of and production of offshore oil and natural gas beyond the 200 nautical miles of Exclusive Economic Zone (ZEE) of Brazil. The action, foreseen by the Minister of MME, Bento Albuquerque, during the 16th round of block bidding aims to evaluate the rules for exploring the area with a focus on the Near the pre-salt region.

Data state that the volume of oil and gas reserves in the Brazil can increase by up to 50% if the discoveries in the area are confirmed. The Working Group will consist of members of the Civil House, the Navy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economics and the agency National Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP).
