Company studies using robots for tank maintenance

Repsol Sinopec Brazil plans to use robots to inspect FPSO tanks. The studies are part of the Squidbot project, the name given to the robot that is approximately 1.70 and was created to autonomously inspect storage tanks.

These structures that usually deal with problems such as corrosion, would have their maintenance done more easily and quickly, since it would not be necessary to empty the tank. A prototype that has the route made through artificial intelligence is already conducting tests.
