National Congress aims to extend wind power projects

Currently in the National Congress in brasilia, process about 25 texts on renewable energy, mainly wind, aiming to encourage the market of renewable Sources. One of the amendments to the Constitution (PEC 97/15), for example, predicts that states and municipalities receive royalties by the exploitation of this type of energy.

In the year 2016, Brazil had a high growth, and wind power was responsible for producing 33500 gigawatts, the equivalent of 5.8% of the total energy produced in the Country. According to the legislative adviser, Maurice Schneider, Renewable sources would be complementary to any electrical system.

The country is in eighth place in the context of renewable energy Generation. If the projects are approved and developed, they will help reduce costs, lower pollution to the environment, and generate Jobs.
