Delta denies responsibility for disaster

Faced with the accusations that pointed the bouboulina ship as the prime suspect in the oil spill on the beaches of the Northeast, Delta Tankers spoke last Monday (4), and denied any responsibility for the disaster. Greece’s company said the ship complied, without incident, the transport of Venezuelan oil to Malaysia.

“There is no proof that the boat stopped, carried out any kind of STS operation, had suffered some escape, stopped or diverted from its route, from Venezuela to Malacca, Malaysia,” the company told O Globo newspaper.

Investigations are being conducted by the Federal Police and by the Navy, but the discovery of the original stain fell to a company Private. The government asked for the collaboration of five countries to proceed in the investigation.
