According to the president of Eneva, Pedro Zinner, the company would be evaluating the possibility of participating in the energy auctions A-4 and A-5, promoted by the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL), which should take place this year. The company also plans to compete for other auctions in the future. The statement was made on the morning of Thursday (11).
The decision is directly related to Eneva's earnings in the last year, since the company recorded a net profit of R$ 686.5 in the last quarter of 2020. The number is positive and represents an increase of 87.9% compared to the same period in 2019.
Zinner also cited that Eneva evaluates potential asset mergers and acquisitions, both in the area of power generation and in gas exploration and production. However, he pointed out that they are still only plans. "At the moment, we still have no project acquired or ready for implementation to announce. We are evaluating," Zinner said.
It is also worth mentioning that the company intends to establish social and environmental commitments and governance (known as ESG) as early as next year. According to the president, Eneva wants to invest in energy solutions that replace more polluting sources with gas.ACESSE AS REDES DA PANORAMA OFFSHORE:
