The Governments of Morocco and Nigeria are negotiating the extension of a pipeline that will cross the West Africa and transport gas to Europe. The line began to be built in 2005 to connect the gas production areas in Nigeria to the West African coast.
The Foreign Minister of Nigeria, Geoffrey Onyeama, stated that the project is already being discussed and that is a very important development for the country. Nigeria has the largest reserve of natural gas in Africa and seventh in the world.
