Fair and symposium will debate on Amazonian communities

Between 25 and 28 March, in Manaus (AM), at the Convention center of Amazonas, will happen the Fair/symposium of Energy Solutions for communities of the Amazon. The issue will present proposals to replace diesel oil with renewable, cheaper and more sustainable renewables, and point ways and solutions to energy sector innovations.

The event also seeks to promote the energy inclusion of Amazonian communities, such as the indigenous and riverside that are often not reached by the national interconnected System (SIN). At the same time, the symposium will take place with the presence of specialists, researchers, government representatives, extractivist and indigenous organizations, who will discuss the influence of public policies to solve the Exclusion of these people.

The edition is being organized by the Institute of Climate and Society, WWF-Brazil, Greenpeace Brazil, Socio-Environmental Institute (ISA), Institute of Energy and Environment, Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, Institute of Energy and Environment of the University of São Paulo ( IEE/USP), Health and joy, Coiab, CNS, Energy for life and absolar.
