Gazprom invests $ 650 million in offshore geological exploration

The Russian giant Gazprom plans to spend 37.8 billion rubles, about $ 650 million this year in offshore geological exploration, according to the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia, Sergey Donskoy.

In 2016, volume of investments of Gazprom in the works on the shelves of area totaled 30.8 billion rubles, almost 8 billion rubles less than in 2015. In 2017, the company plans to spend 37.8 billion rubles in conducting offshore exploration activities, the minister said.
