MME cancels Existing Energy A-2 auction
On Monday (13), the Ministry of Mines and Energy (MME) published in the Official Gazette (DOU), ordinance canceling the auction of Existing Energy A-2, 2020, scheduled for December 4. The publication amended the ordinance of March 2019, which established the dates of the A-1 and A-2 energy agreements for 2019, 2020 and 2021.
Even changing the date of the A-2, the MME kept the A-1 auction for December 4 this year. The energy supply is expected to start on January 1, 2021 and end on December 31, 2022.
The auctions aim at the purchase of electricity, from existing generation projects, for distribution in the National Interconnected System (SIN).
