Panama will make seismic surveys for oil

According to the National Secretariat of Energy of Panama (SNE), the country's government approved the carrying out seismic studies in the sea of ​​the country to determine the oil and natural gas inventories.

The geophysical survey will be conducted at about 15 kilometers from the coast in the first areas of analysis classified as potential existence of assets in hydrocarbons.

Five companies that provide geophysical services on the platform will have exclusivity on the studies in the area that includes the Pacific coast and the Panamanian Caribbean. According to reports, the companies have made an investment in 2D seismic survey of about 87 million.
