Petrobras wins award with Libra Project

The Libra field is one of the greatest discoveries ever made in the Brazilian pre-salt and was the highlight on the second day of OTC Brazil 2019. The Petrobras, which leads the consortium with 40%, Shell (20%), Total (20%), China National Offshore Oil Corporation (10%) and China National Petroleum Corporation (10%) were awarded one of the most important awards in the petroleum and gas, the Distinguished Achievement Awards, by testing long-lasting (TLD) of the field.

The award is a recognition for tld’s innovative approach libra, which allowed monitoring of the pressure of the through remote devices, oil production and the injection of Gas. These innovations were essential to help the state-owned company beat the record 58,000 barrels of oil equivalent (boe) per day, through a single offshore well.
