Gas production in Bolivia had 4.2% fall in 2016

According to data of the Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB) in 2016, the gas production in the country had a fall of 4.2%, having been produced daily around of 57,800,000 cubic meters/day.

The fall was due to the reduction of external demand of natural gas, mainly from Brazil. As reported previously by Panorama Offshore, in February, Petrobras reported that decreased by 45% the maximum daily volume that was hired to the Bolivian State-owned YPFB.

Apparently, the lower demand from Brazil is beginning to impact on Bolivian production, which after the announcement of the brazilian State, is seeking new buyers for their surplus.
