Oil production has fallen in October

Amid the maintenance of Petrobras in Campos and Santos basins, the national oil production has fallen 0.9% in the month of October, according to data from the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP). They were produced in the country 2,627,000 of barrels of oil per day (bpd), high of only 1% relative to the same period of 2016.

However, while oil production drops, the natural gas rises. In October there was a 5% increase in national gas production, adding 115 million cubic meters per day (m³/d). Since the total production of oil and gas summed up 3,348,000 of barrels of equivalent oil per day (boe/d), fall before the previous month, but high compared to October 2016.

The pre-salt was responsible for 48.6% of the total produced in Brazil, with production of 1,306,000 of bpd of petroleum and 51 million of m³/d of natural gas, total of 1,628,000 of BoE/d, a fall of 2.9% before the month of September. Petrobras had informed that the fall in production was due to the maintenance of the FPSO City Anchieta and the FPSO city of Caraguatatuba.
