Domestic oil production grows 5.2%

Data from the National Agency for Oil, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP) showed that national oil production increased 5.2% in January compared to December 2020.

Production totaled an average of 2.869 million barrels per day (barrels/day). However, despite being positive compared to the last month of 2020, the number represents a 9.4% drop compared to the volume recorded in January last year.

Natural gas production totaled 136.3 million cubic meters per day in January, about 1.7% lower in the year-on-year comparison. However, the volume represents an increase of 7.3% compared to the previous month.
