Rio project to offer gas aid

This past Wednesday (4), Alerj (Legislative Assembly of Rio de Janeiro) approved that the emergency aid offered by the SuperaRJ program has an extra quota. The measure that still needs the approval of Cláudio Castro, governor of the state, grants an extra amount of R $ 50 to R $ 80, exclusive to purchase gas canister (LPG).

The president of Alerj emphasized that the measure will be of great importance especially for families living in poverty, because they "need to choose between buying the gas canister or food," he said.

In order to minimize the difficulties that families have been going through to remain in the pandemic period, other regions of Brazil are also studying to adopt new aid for the population that suffered from unemployment and high gas value.
