The energy sector recorded significant growth in 2020, even with the coronavirus pandemic. Solar power generation has grown 58% in the last year compared to 2019.
One of the factors that explain this increase were investments, especially private ones, that the sector has received. More than 36 billion reais have been invested in the clean energy sector in Brazil since 2012, when the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) published a normative resolution that allowed consumers to exchange the energy generated with that of the electricity grid.
It is also worth mentioning that this action allowed the generation of 220,000 new jobs, in addition to avoiding the emission of 1.1 million tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. In all, there are 353,000 solar photovoltaic systems connected to the grid.ACESSE AS REDES DA PANORAMA OFFSHORE:
