Sonangol fleet now has twelve tankers

On Thursday, April 6, the state-owned Angola Sonangol said it received two new oil tankers that have the ability to carry one million barrels of oil. With the acquisition Angola now has a fleet of 12 ships.

The arrival of the two ships, 'Sonangol Cazenga' and 'Sonangol Maiombe', which were built in South Korea by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME), aligns the new vision of the Angolan state that seeks to express more rigos and selectivity in their investments.

Currently, Angola is the main oil producer in Africa, with more than 1.6 million barrels of oil per day. Increased Sonangol fleet will help the company in the transportation and export of oil.
